Woody Giles

Yorktown -Woody Giles, age 94, passed to his eternal life on Friday, January 9, 2026.Woody was born to Urbane W. and Rena Lantz Giles of Bedford County, Virginia. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather. He is survived by Dorothy his wife of 71 years, his sons, Kevin Giles and Mark Giles, grandchildren, Eric, Nathan, Kristen and Rachel and great grandson, Brooks. Kind, honest and spiritual are words that come to mind to describe Woody. He was a faithful member of Bethel Baptist Church where he served as Sunday school superintendent and Sunday school teacher, deacon, usher and teller. A celebration of life will be held at Bethel Baptist Church, 1004 Yorktown Road, Yorktown, Virginia on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11 AM. The family will receive friends following the service. Graveside services will be private. Arrangements are being handled by Amory Funeral Home in Grafton, Virginia.
