Walter Richard “Rick” Price

Walter Richard (Rick) Price died Monday, July 8, 2024 after a short battle with cancer.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jean Attig and Walter Richard Price, Sr. He is survived by his loving wife of 45 years Mary Carroll Price, his sisters Sara Herring and Priscilla Dooley, his brother-in-law Sean Malone and his wife Karen, sister-in-law Patricia Malone, niece Kelly Peele and husband Mike and nephew Brent Reid along with two great nieces and many cousins. Rick was born in Alexandria, VA in 1946. He attended Warwick High School and graduated in 1964. Rick then joined the Air Force and served two tours of duty in Vietnam. After leaving the service Rick had several jobs that took him to interesting countries including Australia and New Guinea. Rick retired in 2016 deciding it was finally time to stay home. Rick will be remembered most for his sense of humor and generosity, love of family and devotion to friends. He will be truly missed.
Memorial contributions can be made to the Virginia Peninsula Food Bank or favorite charity. Arrangements are in the care of Amory Funeral Home.
