

Tony Dale Collins Sr.

Tony Dale Collins Sr., age 70, of the Virginia Peninsula, passed away on June 13, 2026.
Born in North Carolina on January 2, 1956, Tony was the founder of Custom Design Works Inc., which he proudly established in 1984. For more than four decades, he dedicated himself to designing, building, and remodeling homes throughout southeastern Virginia. He loved his work and took great pride in serving his community. Tony was a devoted follower of Christ and an active member of his church. He never met a stranger and was known for his kind heart, his sense of humor, and his willingness to help anyone in need. He cherished the lifelong friendships he made through the Boys Club and kept those friends close throughout his life. Tony is survived by his loving wife, Jennifer Collins; his sons, Dale Collins and his wife, Sherry, Timothy Ball, Thomas Ball and his husband, Jorge; his beloved granddaughter, Alyssa Collins; and his sister, Sandra Slusher. He was preceded in death by his parents, Eddie and Helen Collins, and his siblings, Ronnie Collins and Joanne Hudik. Tony’s faith, generosity, and the many lives he touched will leave a lasting legacy for all who knew and loved him.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 18, 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Hampton Friends Church, 1062 Big Bethel Road in Hampton. The family will receive friends one half hour prior to the service. The burial will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News, Virginia.
