George Thomas Hogge

George Thomas Hogge, age 81, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 17, 2023.
Born July 15, 1942, in York County, Virginia. George was a life-long native of York County, and retired from the Amoco Oil Refinery after 26 years. After retiring, he began working at Warwick Assembly of God until August 2023, where he was a member until his death.
Survivors include his wife, Celesta Hogge; his son, Wesley Hogge and wife, Debbie; step-daughter, Coleen Marchese; granddaughter, Ann Hogge; grandson, Travis Carpenter and wife Amber; granddaughter Amber Hedden and husband, Sam; and 12 great grandchildren; two sisters, Nancy Barrick and husband, David, and Sherry Hudson and husband, Vince, and 6 nieces and nephews. George is preceded in death by his step-son, Robert Carpenter; granddaughter, Shanna Carpenter; and grandson, Kenny Carpenter.
A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, October 24, 2023 at Warwick Assembly of God Church, 1228 Todds Lane, Hampton, Va, 23666. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Va.
