Stephen Wayne Jackson

Stephen Wayne Jackson, known to many as Steve/Action Jackson peacefully passed away on February 27, 2024, at the age of 60 in Newport News, VA. He was born on March 9, 1963.
Stephen was a food enthusiast who loved trying anything new in the culinary world. He had a fondness for music especially classic rock. In his leisure time, he enjoyed challenging his knowledge with Jeopardy!. He was also an avid Washington Redskins fan who enthusiastically followed their games. His favorite place in the world was the beach, where he found solace and peace.
Stephen’s proudest accomplishments were his three daughters, Virginia Elizabeth Jackson , Stephanie Noel Jackson (Cole Jackson), and Kelsey Lynn Jackson, whom he cherished deeply. He is also survived by his sisters Cindy Moore (Rob Moore) and Sandra Foley, sister in law Karen Lunceford, his niece and nephew Kaitlyn and Michael Foley and great niece Sofia Foley. He is preceded in death by his mother Virginia Katherine Flair, his father Thomas Flair and his sister, Teresa Jackson. Also the love of his life Susan Nicolay.
Stephen was known for his quick witted sarcasm and sense of humor, which endeared him to many. From his “Jello-Pudding” hellos to his “Bye-cycle” goodbyes, it is clear that he possessed a unique essence that touched the lives of those around him.
Stephen Wayne Jackson will be dearly missed by his family, friends, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in eternal peace.
Celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, March 2, 2024 at 6:00 pm in Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.
