Stephanie Anne Curtin

Newport News, Va. – Stephanie Anne (Belvin) Curtin, 51, passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, February 7, 2021 following an extended illness. Mrs. Curtin was loved by so many and will be remembered for her bright smile and uplifting spirit. Mrs. Curtin was a loving wife, mother, sister, grandmother, and most of all an excellent friend.
Stephanie was born in Williamsburg, Virginia on June 26, 1969 to Roy Lee and Susie Elizabeth (Overby) Belvin. Stephanie grew up in Newport News, Virginia and graduated from Denbigh High School in 1987. Stephanie was married to her loving husband for 26 years. They had two beautiful children, Jack and Julia, who inherited her kind and loving spirit. Stephanie attended Old Dominion University and completed their Paralegal program and worked until her Stage IV Breast Cancer diagnosis in January of 2011. Stephanie especially enjoyed cooking and spending precious time with her many friends and family. Stephanie lit up any room she stepped in with her outgoing and vivacious personality. She definitely made friends anywhere she went.
Stephanie is preceded in death by her parents, Roy Lee and Susie Elizabeth Belvin. Stephanie is survived by her loving husband of 26 years, Thomas Curtin. Her children Jack and Julia Curtin; 4 sisters Betty Brevard (Husband-George) of Advance, NC; Linda Jones (Husband-Larry) of Newport News, VA; Alice Owens (Husband-Jimmy) of Gloucester, VA; Cheryl Long (Husband Paul) of Yorktown, VA; One Aunt Mary Donna Clary (Husband-M.C.) of Macon, NC; One Granddaughter Kinsley Rose Curtin and many, many, loving friends, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 from 5PM-7:30PM at Amory Funeral Home. A Funeral service will be held 11:00 AM on Thursday February 11, 2021 in at the funeral home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service
