Stanley “Stan” Kadlec
Stanley “Stan” Kadlec, a beloved husband, father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully when he went to be with the Lord on February 20, 2025.
He was 80 years old. Born in Fall River, Massachusetts, Stan was the son of Jerry Kadlec and Mary (Perry) Kadlec. He was one of 13 siblings and grew up surrounded by a large, loving family. Stan proudly served in the United States Air Force for 24 years, including a tour in Vietnam, and retired after a distinguished career dedicated to his country. Additionally, he spent 18 years working at Noland Company before retiring, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues and community. In 1984, Stan married the love of his life, Brenda Kadlec, with whom he shared 40 years of marriage. Together, they built a life full of love, joy, and memories. Stan was the proud father of three children: Robyn Rose (Kenny), Donna Gordon (Randy), and Christopher Kadlec. Stan was also a devoted and loving grandfather, cherished by his grandchildren, who brought him immeasurable happiness. A man of many interests, Stan enjoyed spending his time bowling, working in the yard, and engaging in woodworking projects. Stan especially loved spending time with family and friends, and those moments were treasured by all who knew him. Stan’s warm presence, generous spirit, and sense of humor will be deeply missed by all who knew him. A viewing will be held at 11:00 AM on March 3, 2025, followed by a service at 12:00 PM at Amory Funeral Home. Afterward, we will proceed to Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News at 1:00 PM where military honors will be rendered in recognition of his service and final words will be shared to honor and remember his life. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Tunnel to Towers or T.A.P.S. (Tragedy Assistance Program for Survivors), two organizations that support veterans and their families. Stan will be forever remembered and missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
