Shirley Anne Ryan

Shirley Anne Ryan (Currier), 86, passed away on Sunday, August 21, 2022. She was born in Baldwinsville, NY. She resided in South Ashburnham, MA until marrying her husband in 1956, and was a Peninsula resident since 1962. She will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She enjoyed bowling, her flower garden, cooking for the family and spending time with her great grandchildren.
Shirley was preceded in death by her husband of almost sixty years, Tyrus R Ryan Jr., her parents, Archie E. Currier and Ina M. Currier (Godfrey); and six siblings, known to her as Dollie, Dot, Betty, Alice, Sonny and Buzzy.
She is survived by her sons, Tyrus R. Ryan III (Dawn) and Michael S. Ryan; her sister, Kathy Currier; grandchildren Michael T. Ryan, Jennifer Botzler (Matthew), Tyrus R. Ryan IV, Jessica Ryan (Larry Brown) and Aaron Holt; and 6 great-grandchildren, Tyrus R. Ryan V, Samantha Botzler, Ryan Botzler, Isaiah Brown, Brycen Ryan, Jaxson Brown, Ryder Ryan, Rhys Ryan; four step grandchildren, eleven step great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday, August 27, 2022, in the chapel of Amory Funeral Home, Grafton. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Children Hospital of the King’s Daughters, 600 Children’s Lane, Norfolk, VA 23507, or to St. Jude Children’s Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
