Sandra Voncille Waldron

Sandra Voncille Waldron
November 11th, 1955- September 16th, 2020.
“Some people only walk this earth for a short time. Their departure reminds us that angels are watching over us.” Last week, Sandra Voncille Waldron rejoined her heavenly family and gained her wings.
Sandra’s friends and family often lovingly called her by her middle name of “Voncille”. She was beautiful, softened at the edge- and tempered with a spine of steel. Her unconditional love was constant and true. She was intelligent, fancy, silly and she was very dedicated to her Lord and savior Jesus Christ. She lived for her family, especially her daughters, and grandbabies. Spending time with family was her heaven here on earth. One Christmas morning in particular, when her grandson Brady’s eyes and face lit up at seeing the giant train set Santa brought him, she cried tears of joy saying, “this is what it’s all about.” The spirit of giving, the magic of Christmas and the pure innocence and happiness of her grandson melted her heart so much that she sat happily crying sipping her coffee soaking up the love that day. Those moments of love, those memories of her will forever be carried in our hearts and our future family holiday celebrations.
She was a veteran of the USAF, and fiercely loved our Country. Additionally, receiving her B.S. in Social Psychology from the University of Central Missouri and her Master’s in Psychology from the University of Missouri, she was intelligent and passionate about reading and education.
It would be wrong to say that Sandra lost her battle against Covid-19 because she never stopped fighting. She overcame many obstacles, and when anyone else would have broken, she stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in Sandra. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn’t mean she lost her fight. We will carry her light within us and aspire to have her strength.
Sandra was predeceased by her mother, Wilma Elaine Crawford. Survived by father, Jimmie Dale Crawford; sister, Velinda Elaine Barnes; & brothers Samuel Crawford and Christopher Crawford. Also survived by her two daughters, of whom were her world, her joy, and her heart; Jessalyn Brianne Waldron (Brianne) and Holly Tabitha Waldron Hogge (Jolly Doll); son in ‘love’ William Shane Hogge and beloved grandbabies; Gavin Dale Hogge, Brady John Hogge and Lucy Elaine Hogge.
Her family will be holding her memorial, and military honors ceremony on her birthday, Veteran’s Day, Wednesday November 11th, 2020, at 11:00 AM in Amory Funeral Home Chapel
