Ruth Lillian Burrow Maness

Yorktown, VA – Prov. 31:30-31 (MSG) “The woman to be admired and praised is a woman who lives in fear of God. Give her everything she deserves, adorn her life with praises” Ruth Lillian Burrow Maness, 110 of Asheboro, NC went home to rest in the loving arms of her Heavenly Father on June 1, 2021.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 65 years, Everette Maness and son Charles Maness. Lovingly referred to as “Maw Maw” by most who met her, she always had a smile, a story from a life well lived, or advice for any problem from life to laundry. No one ever walked away without being “adopted”. To know her was to know the woman God described in Prov. 31. She was blessed to see 4 direct female descendants, her daughter Jacqueline, granddaughter Deborah, great granddaughter Valerie, and great great granddaughter Alexis. She is survived by her daughter Jacqueline Cagle, and grandchildren Alton Cagle Jr., Deborah Hoopingarner, Janice Henley, Eddie Maness, and numerous other great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other loved ones. We will miss her love, warmth, and the laugh she gave seeing us all grow or when her great grandson Chris asked for homemade biscuits. The family will hold a graveside service on June 12, 2021 at 1 pm at Randolph Memorial Park in Asheboro, NC. With a memorial celebration in VA to be announced in the coming weeks. Flowers will be received at the gravesite or in lieu of, donate to a charity close to your heart. The family would like to thank the staff at WaterView Health & Rehab in Hampton for their loving care as well as all who made her smile during her 110 years on this earth.
