Robert J. Froemel

Robert J. Froemel, 68, passed away on Friday, July 26, 2024.
Robert was born in New York and raised in Suffolk, Virginia. He graduated from Forest Glen High School in 1974, and retired from Newport News Shipyard in 2018 after 42 years of service. Robert loved music and was an avid coin and record collector. In addition, he was an avid sports fan and a lifelong Arizona Cardinals fan.
Preceded in death by parents Robert and Pat Froemel, and survived by son Bernhard Froemel, brother Richard Froemel (Teresa), sisters Lorraine Gay and Jane Froemel, and nieces Madison Froemel, Taylor Gay and Payton Gay
Memorial Mass will be held on Monday, August 5, 2024 at 11:00 AM in St Joan of Arc Catholic Church with burial to follow in Meadowbrook Cemetery, Suffolk VA at 2:00 P.M. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made out to cancer research foundations.
