Robert “Bob” Folstad, Jr.

Yorktown, Va. – Robert (“Bob”) Folstad Jr, 59, of Hopkins, Minnesota passed away on January 9th, 2021 in Newport News, Virginia. Bob attended Hopkins Eisenhower High School (class of 1979) and graduated from the University of Minnesota. He was a proud member of Delta Tau Delta while there. Bob loved reading, fishing, writing short stories, and traveling the open road with his windows rolled down and his music turned-up. He will be dearly missed. Bob is survived by his daughter Mackenzie Folstad; parents Robert Folstad Sr and Mary Folstad; sisters Jennifer Folstad and Julie George ad her husband, Mike; nephew Nathan George; significant other Nancy Marino; lifelong friends including Al Michaud; many cousins, aunts, and uncles. The family would also like to thank the staff at Mary Immaculate Hospital in Newport News for all that they did for Bob. A memorial service will be held near Hopkins, MN at a later date when gatherings can be safely conducted. Local arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Yorktown, Va.
