Rita S. Weshefsky

Rita S. Weshefsky, 92, of Yorktown, VA, died peacefully at home on January 25, 2024.
Born in New York City, she lived most of her life in Morris County, NJ, before moving to Virginia in 2018.
She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph C. Weshefsky, and the loving mother of Francine Hight (Newport News, VA), Thomas Weshefsky (Samantha) Myrtle Beach, SC, and Anthony Weshefsky (Linda) New Bern, NC. She was also the proud grandmother of Jamie Talbert, Amanda Hight, Joseph Weshefsky, and Alexander Weshefsky (Linda), and the great-grandmother of Gavin Talbert, Olivia Talbert, and Kai Hensley.
With an incredible joy for life, Rita will always be remembered for her infectious smile and her love of music and dancing. She will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
A graveside service will be held at St Thomas the Apostle Roman Catholic Church, 5635 Berkshire Valley Road, Oak Ridge NJ on Saturday, February 3 at 1:00 PM.
For her Virginia friends, a celebration of life will be held in Yorktown at a later date.
