Reverend Dr. Marc V. Mason

Reverend Dr Marc V. Mason, 60, of Seaford, VA, passed away with the love of his life by his side on March 16th. He passed away from complications due to leukemia. Marc led a life full of joyful devotion to the Lord. In 1979 he met Leslie, the love of his life, and they married in 1987. Marc graduated from Eckerd College and was accepted into Princeton Theological Seminary. In 2018 he became Reverend Dr after earning his Doctor of Ministry from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary.
Marc was first called as an associate at Trinity Presbyterian In Fairhope, AL. He also served congregations at Princeton Presbyterian in Springfield, PA, Purity Presbyterian in Chester, SC and Trinity Presbyterian in Travelers Rest, SC. He was currently serving a most loving and supportive congregation at Yorkminister Presbyterian Church in Yorktown, VA. Marc loved good bourbon, cigars, homemade pizzas, spending time on the porch and working in the yard. He was a kind and patient spouse to Leslie and an amazing DaddyMan to Jessica and Emily. He is survived by Leslie, Jessica, Emily and his dog Copper Penny. Marc also is survived by his brother, sister-in-law, niece and nephew as well as numerous, adored cousins, aunts and uncles.
A Celebration of Life will be held Thursday, March 24th at 2pm at Yorkminster Presbyterian. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Marc’s honor to Yorkminister Presbyterian Church, or for the dog lovers, Mid-Atlantic Border Collie Rescue in Chestertown, MD.
