Rebecca (Becky) Hodge Gibson


Rebecca (Becky) Hodge Gibson, 87, of Seaford, VA, died on October 31, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at the Williamsburg Hospice House.
Becky was a native of Rutherfordton, NC before moving to Virginia in 1961. Becky was a seamstress by trade. She was proud to be part of a special team that made the show costumes for Busch Gardens, Williamsburg. Prior to working in the Costume Shop at Busch Gardens, she was Hostess at the Anheuser Busch Hospitality Center and Substitute teacher in earlier years.
Becky is preceded in death by her parents, Esper and Katherine Hodge, her brothers Boyce, Dolpus and Lawrence. She is survived by her husband of 66 years, Aaron, her daughters Becky Johnston (Wayne), Cherylann Jones (Doug), her brother Tommy Hodge(Diane) and her grandchildren.

An informal celebration of her life will be on Sunday, November 17, 2024 between the hours of 1:00pm and 3:00pm at Yorkminster Presbyterian Church, 6218 George Washington Memorial Highway, Yorktown, VA.
