Page Elizabeth Gootee Byrne

Page Elizabeth Gootee Byrne, 56, passed away Monday Dec. 5, 2022. Page was a very giving person and helped anyone in need. She was a volunteer for the North Carolina Food Bank, Habitat for Humanity, cleaned up trash on the side of roads, cleaned up houses for those who needed help, tore down trees, built a vegetable garden. Did yard work for those who needed help and helped the Schools prepare for the upcoming school year by sorting supplies.
Page excelled 100% in everything she did. Page graduated from York High School, 1984. She played the clarinet in the school band, which she dearly loved. She was on the track team, and basketball team and of course in the school band. She attended Christopher Newport College for two years and on the track team there.
She is survived by her daughters Tina Byrne and Sierra Beamon; mother Agnes Doyle Gootee and three sisters, Clara Arnold, Helen Spencer, Sarah Hunt. Three grandchildren, Ella, Maxwell, Camilla. She is also survived by several hundred aunts, uncles and cousins.
She will be missed not only by her family but also by Carey and Diva her two precious dogs. Page was preceded in death by her father David Allen Gootee.
A memorial services will be at Amory Funeral Home, Saturday, December 10, 2:00 p.m. by Pastor Jill Alventosa-Brown The family will receive friends following the service.
