

Nancy Hogge Barrick
Williamsburg – On Friday, June 21, 2024, loving wife and mother, Nancy Hogge Barrick, was called home to rest in the arms of our heavenly father.
She was a native of York County and later resided in Williamsburg, Virginia. She graduated from York High School in 1959 and attended Jan Mar Beauty School. She was the owner and operator of Colony Square Beauty Salon for many years. After retiring, she was a driver for Suttle Motor Corporation in Newport News. She was a member of the Daughter’s of the American Revolution, Yorktown Chapter.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Hattie and George T. Hogge, Jr.; a brother, George T. Hogge, III; and niece, Anissa Hudson. She is survived by her husband of 43 years, J. David Barrick; her children, Kevin Barnes (Suzanne) of Poquoson, Tom Barnes, of Yorktown, Kim Stephenson (Peter) of Smithfield, and Tammy Hall of Little River, SC. She is also survived by her sister, Sherry Hudson (Vince); 9 grandchildren; and 9 great grandchildren; a niece and nephews.
The family would like to thank the Warwick Forrest-Chesapeake Unit for all the care, love, and compassion given to Nancy during her stay. The family will receive friends at Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Virginia, on Wednesday, June 26, 2024, from 6:00-7:30; Thursday at 12:30 with a service beginning at 1:30 in the Amory Chapel. Interment will follow at Peninsula Memorial Park in Newport News. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Animal Aid Society, 80 Butler Farm Rd, Hampton, VA 23666.
