Millie Fuller Spencer

Yorktown, Va. – Millie F. Spencer, 85, went to be with her heavenly father on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Warwick Gardens Rehabilitation facility in Newport News, VA. She was born September 20, 1935 in Johnston County, NC and grew up in Wendell, NC. She moved to Newport News, VA in 1956.
Millie was preceded in death by her husband, Frederick (Fred) W. Spencer, Jr. and father Willie Ervin Fuller and mother Polly Mae Fuller. She is survived by her daughter Trilby L. Hinnant, Stepchildren Frederick R. Spencer, Barry D. Spencer (Donna), Gregory W. Spencer (Scarlett), Sherry L Sutton (Gary), Denise E. Belvin (David), 10 Step grandchildren, Shannon, JR, Elina, Brittany, Melissa, Alicia, Jonny, Katie, Kimberly, Spenser, 22 Step great-grandchildren, Logan, Kameron, Lila, Spencer, Sophia, Oliver, Cora, Shealyn, Liam, Cole, Evan, Summer, Slater, Silas, Stella, Carter, Cohen, Brenden, Briley, Holland, Annie, Travis, 1 step great great-grandchild, Watson, cousins and many friends. She was a member of Orcutt Baptist Church. She worked for Giant Food and Jack L. Massey Construction for a few years before going to work for Newport News Traffic Court retiring in 1998 after 32 years.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM in Baptist Tabernacle Church on Sunday January 24, 2021. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow in Greenmount Cemetery, Wendell, NC. Arrangements are by Strickland Funeral Home 211 W. 3rd Street, Wendell, NC.
In lieu of flowers memorial may be made to Orcutt Baptist Church, 653 Baxter Lane, Newport News, VA. 23602. Local arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.
