

Margie Mae Beggs
Margie Mae Beggs entered the eternal presence of God on April 27, 2025, at her home in Seaford, Virginia. She was born on February 5, 1931, in Newport News, Virginia.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, Margie had a gentle spirit and a heart full of kindness. She found joy in caring for her family and home, collecting dolls, and spending quiet moments reading. Her love for growing things was evident in her beautiful plants, which she tended with a marvelous green thumb.
Margie was welcomed into heaven by her parents, Floyd Mack Marshall and Ella DeBoer Marshall; her husband, Raymond Archer Beggs; and two brothers, “Sonny” Floyd Marshall and Otis Marshall.
Her memory will be cherished by Rodney Beggs (Lisa Smith) of York County, Samuel Beggs (Brenda) of Williamsburg, David Beggs (Deborah) of Williamsburg; her daughters, Christine Beggs Bacigalupo (Vince) of Waynesboro, Virginia, Shirley Beggs Cava (Ron) of Henderson, North Carolina, and Teresa Beggs McComas (David) of Gloucester, Virginia; along with her fifteen grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren; and her sister, JoAnn Marshall Brentgartner of Ohio.
A service of Christian worship will be held in her memory on Wednesday, April 30, 2025 at 1:00 PM in Amory Funeral Home in Yorktown, Virginia by Rev. Ron Cava. Following the service, a burial attended by family and relatives will take place at Greenlawn Cemetery in Newport News, Virginia. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral at Amory Funeral Home.
