Margaret Frances Palmeter Ritter

Yorktown, Va. – Margaret Frances Palmeter Ritter, was born in New Orleans, La., on June 14th, 1945 the daughter of the late David Batson Palmeter and Elizabeth Keffer Palmeter. Mrs. Ritter was also preceded in death by her step-daughter, Elizabeth (Libby) Ritter Fernandez, and her sister, Anne Palmeter Threlkeld.
She was a graduate of the Class of 1963 at Paul G. Blazer High School in Ashland, Ky. and attended Sue Bennett College in London, Ky.
At the time of her death, she a was member of Crooks Memorial United Methodist Church in Yorktown, VA.
She was employed at Third National Bank of Ashland, KY, First Security Bank in Lexington, KY and retired from Wachovia Bank in Durham, NC.
Mrs. Ritter is survived by her husband Jerry M. Ritter, of Yorktown, Va. a daughter Theresa Elizabeth Cooper of Creedmoor, NC, a son, Lary Heath Ritter of Lexington, Ky., a son-in-law Dale R. Fernandez and his wife Sue Ann of Richmond, Ky., Her twin sister, Mary Palmeter Randolph of Yorktown, VA., two brothers, David Palmeter and wife Judy of Noblesville, and Charles Palmeter and wife Mary of Gray, TN.,
She is also survived by six grandchildren, Justin Murray, Joseph Fernandez his wife Lindy, Nolan Fernandez, Camilla Albritton, Gabrielle Ritter, Amanda (Hicks) Watson; and two great grandchildren, Jayden Fernandez and Logan Fernandez. Also survived by 4 nephews, 4 nieces, 10 great nephews, 8 great nieces and 3 great-great nieces.
A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Friday, May 27, 2022 in Crook Memorial United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends at the Church.
