Marcell W. Moore


Yorktown, Va. – Marcell W. Moore passed away on Sunday, December 19 of Alzheimer’s Disease. She was born in Paducah, Kentucky October 20, 1939. Moved to Akron Ohio with her parents when she was a child. She graduated from Kenmore High School and was employed by B F Goodrich for approximately 20 years. Marcell lived in Florida for approximately 10 years before making Virginia her home.
Preceded in death by parents Morris & Mary Wilkins, sisters Derotha Perkins and Annett Tarter, previous husband E. Thomas Wynne.
Survived by her loving husband of 27 years, Richard A. Moore, son Ronald (Cindy) Vance, daughters Valorie (Paul) Bowe and Melanie (David) Bauernschmidt,
Step-daughter Stephanie (Rick) Bretz, Grandchildren Amanda (Mark) Slyder, William Bond Jr., Joshua Vance, Fallon Vance, Ashlyn Bauernschmidt, Sarah Beth Bauernschmidt,
Great-Grandchildren Delaney Slyder, Hadley Slyder, Emerson Slyder, Grant Slyder, Brothers-in-law Martin Perkins, James Tarter, and numerous nieces,nephews and friends.
Those who knew her were blessed by her strong faith and her love for her church Liberty Baptist as well as singing in the church choir. Marcell had a passion for crafting, scrap booking, holiday dolls, baking, sewing, and researching as well as documenting her family ancestry.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 29, 2021 in Amory Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
Interment will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park.
