Mabel Clair Tripp Raines

Yorktown – Mabel Clair Tripp Raines, 86, died December 18, 2022, at her Yorktown home. She was loved by her many friends, caretakers and family, and will be very missed. Mrs. Raines grew up in Suffolk, Virginia, where she met and married the love of her life, Randolph A. Raines, Sr. She retired from the Naval Weapons Station Yorktown as a comptroller. She was the daughter of William Hubert and Moella Tripp. Survivors include her son Randolph A. Raines, Jr. and daughter-in-law Kimberlee Raines, her beloved grandchildren, Randolph A. Raines, III (Trey), David Graham Raines and his wife Amanda, and William Austin Raines and his wife Rachael. A graveside service will be held at 12 p.m. at Holly Lawn Cemetery, North Main St., Suffolk, VA, on January 2, 2023. The services will be conducted by Dr. Ruffin Alphin, retired Senior Pastor of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church. A reception will follow at her home at 2:30.
