Loraine B. Irwin

Loraine B. Irwin, 92, passed away on March 6, 2025, with her family present.Loraine was born in Phoebus, VA, daughter of Nicholas Barba and Floy Clark Barba. Loraine was a peninsula resident her entire life.
She is predeceased by her husband of 62 years, Stewart Irwin. She is survived by her children Stewart Irwin, Jr (Ruth Ann), Barbara Love (John), Donna Catalano (Albert), Susan Davis (Scott), Kelly Kranz (Kevin), Andrew Irwin (Natalie) and David Irwin (Jamie); 1 brother Nicholas Barba (Carol Lee), 21 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
A celebration of life service will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, May 10, 2025, at Amory Funeral Home. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to give heartfelt thanks to the staff at Warwick Forest who cared for Loraine for 10 years – her Warwick Forest family.
Memorial may be made to the Horton Wreath Society, PO Box 6246, Virginia Beach, VA 23456-0246 for the Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery.
