Katherine Lawson Wood

Katherine Lawson Wood was born on December 6, 1930, in Williamsburg, Virginia and passed away from this Earth on May 24, 2024 at the age of 93 years old. Katherine was born to Richard and Stella Lawson in Williamsburg, Virginia. She was a long time York County Resident.
Katherine was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Thomas Wood Sr. and her sons, Robert Pete Wood and Roy Thomas Wood Jr. Katherine was also preceded in death by her sister, Barbara Sampson, brother Robert Lawson and her mother and father, Richard and Stella Lawson.
Katherine is survived by her sons, Paul (Eddie) Vaughan, James Vaughan, Steven Wood, and Anthony Wood. She is also survived by her daughter-in-laws, Pam Vaughan, Lois Vaughan, and Lisa Wood along with many grandchildren and great grandchildren also survived by brothers Richard and Ray Lawson .
The family will receive visitors at Lebanon Christian Church at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, May 30, 2024. Directly following will be the service officiated by Pastor Dennis Worsham. The graveside service will be held at Cedar Grove Cemetery in Williamsburg directly after the service.
