June Betty Pitcher

Seaford, Va. – June Betty Pitcher, 95, passed away on Wednesday, December 23, 2020. June was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Mildred and Robert Gasse, Sr. She was former resident of Hampton before settling in Seaford in 1967. She was a member of Zion United Methodist Church and Yorktown Chapter of the Eastern Star and was a volunteer with the American Red Cross.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years Claude L. Pitcher and 2 daughters, Sandra Lee Wade and Mildred K. Pitcher and a sister Vivian Schuh and a brother Robert Eugene Gasse, Jr.as awell as a grandson Brian Wade. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Ann Gayle and a son Michael Pitcher and his wife Andrea; 3 grandson, William Wade, Michael L Pitcher, II, and James Eric Pitcher; 9 great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Thursday January 7, 2021 from 10:00 to 11:30 in Amory Funeral Home. A graveside service will follow at 1:00 PM in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Seaford.
