Judith Morgan Butler
January 22, 1945- June 24, 2025

Judith Morgan Butler, age 80, of Seaford, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in January 1945 in Newport News, Virginia, Judy was the daughter of the late George William Morgan, Sr. and Myrtle Ballew Morgan. She was a proud graduate of Warwick High School.
Judy lived a life rooted in faith, family, and service. She shared 61 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Vivian Douglas “Doug” Butler. Together, they built a home filled with love and raised a family of whom she was immensely proud.
In addition to her roles as a devoted wife and mother, Judy worked as a school bus driver and later in the office at Ulisse & Sons. In 1995, she and Doug founded Focus Professional Services, Inc., a time and attendance company they operated side by side for over 20 years. Judy played an integral role in the company’s success, helping to ensure customer satisfaction and cultivating a caring workplace for their employees.
A dedicated Christian, Judy was deeply committed to sharing God’s love. She was actively involved in ministry at Deer Park Baptist Church, where she served in youth programs, taught Vacation Bible School, and supported church events through her work in the kitchen. Judy had a passion for creativity—she loved dancing, crafting, and designing floral arrangements, many of which graced weddings held at the church.
Affectionately known as “Juda” to her grandchildren, Judy cherished time spent with her family. She passed down her love of shopping, family dinners, and faith to each of her grandchildren. She and Doug were a constant presence at their grandchildren’s activities and events, always offering support, encouragement, and love.
Judy was preceded in death by her husband, Doug Butler. She is survived by her two brothers, George William, Jr. and Donald Morgan; her son, Steve Butler and his wife Melissa; her daughter, Angela Morrison and her husband Scott; six grandchildren—Matthew (Ashlyn), Olivia (Timmy), Reid, Kayden, Griffin, and Emily; and three great-grandchildren—Vivian, Cameron, and Brooks.
A visitation will be held at Amory Funeral Home on Monday, June 30th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. A graveside service will be held at Peninsula Memorial Park on Tuesday, July 1st, at 11:00 a.m., with a reception to follow.
The family would like to give a special thank you to Rita Roe and her amazing team at Harper’s Station for the wonderful care they provided Judy over the last year. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Judy’s honor to the Share Fund at Harper’s Station, 4501 Victory Blvd., Yorktown, Virginia 23693.
A reception after the service at Angela’s home, 47 Renns Rd, Poquoson, Va.
