Johnny Arthur Gandee


Yorktown, Va. – Johnny Arthur Gandee, 64, passed away at his home on Tuesday, December 28, 2021 surrounded by his family. Johnny was born in Hampton, Va. and was a lifelong peninsula resident.
He worked at Branscome for 25 years and was an avid race car fan, he raced at Langley speedway on 3 occasions. Beloved husband, father, grandfather and brother.
Johnny loved his dog Winston. He loved being outside doing yard work, grilling, relaxing on the back porch. He was a very quiet and reserved person, he love country music, and loved watching football and racing.
He is survived by his wife Linda Gandee, his children, Kelli Gandee, Nikki Agnew, Amy Ulisse, stepsons, Evan Carter and Ryan Carter and his grandchildren, Alex Agnew and Remi Agnew, his mother Frances Reine and his brothers, Wayne Gandee, Kavin Gandee and his sisters Beverly Padgett, Mirenda Smith, Kimberly Gandee and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father Jack Woodrow Gandee and a sister Janice Annette Gandee
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 11,2022 at 2:00 PM in Amory Funeral Home Chapel.
There will be a graveside service to be held on Sunday, May 29, 2022 in Fairview Cemetery, Ripley, West Virginia
