Jeanette Thomson Oxendine

The Lord has brought an angel home on February 22, 2025. Jeanette passed away peacefully.

She was the oldest daughter born to Malcolm and Jessie Thomson in Machrihanish, Scotland, on February 4, 1948. When Jeanette was 5, her family immigrated to Zambia, Africa, where she apprenticed as a hairdresser. She returned to Scotland when she was 17, where she worked as a hairdresser.

In 1967, she met Keith, who was in Scotland on active duty with the U.S. Navy. Keith and Jeanette were married on September 27, 1968. Jeanette left her family in Scotland and joined Keith in America on February 4, 1968. She remained faithfully with Keith and their son “Allen” until her death.

Jeanette is survived by her husband Keith, her son Keith Jr. “Allen,” her sister Angela in Scotland, her nieces and nephews, and a multitude of amazing friends who were with her to the end.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Amory Funeral Home on Friday, February 28, 2025 at 12:00 PM. A funeral service will follow at 1:00.
