James Christian “Chris” Bradley
James Christian Bradley, 57, of Seaford, went to be with his Savior Jesus Christ on March 4, 2024. Chris was born on September 10, 1966 to parents Bill and Caroline Bradley in Newport News, VA.
Chris worked in construction and lived on the Peninsula most of his life, other than short stays in Florida and Texas when younger. He married Connie in 1998 and they had Lori, the joy of his life. In addition to Lori, Chris’ passion was playing guitar with his friends. He was very gifted and could pick up any tune by ear.
Chris is survived by his daughter, Lori Beth Bradley of Williamsburg, mother Caroline Bradley of Seaford, sister Laura Bradley of Grafton, former wife Connie Wingler of Williamsburg, nephew Charles “Chad” Bradley (wife Vivian and their daughter Emery) of Newport News, niece Mary Callaway (husband Jaci and their children Roman and Summer) of Poquoson, aunt Sally Price of Newport News, uncle Bill Phillips (wife Mary) of Morganton, NC, aunt Shelia Stroud (husband Owen) of Kinston, NC, cousin Richard Griffith (wife Barbara) of Newport News, and numerous cousins in North Carolina, to include Tori Phillips, Bobby Mabe, Bradley Mabe, Brent Mabe, Alfred Hobgood III, and Holt Hobgood.
Chris is preceded in death by father Bill Bradley, sister Beth Pelt, aunt Gayle Mabe, cousin Marion McCall, uncle John Price, uncle Bob Griffith, and grandparents Bill and Mary Phillips, Virle McNeill, and Frank Bradley.
A celebration of Chris’ life will be held Saturday March 23, 2024 at 11:00am at Crossroads Community Church, 1420 Lakeside Drive, Yorktown, VA, officiated by Pastors Aaron West and Paul Eaker. Amory Funeral Home, 410 Grafton Drive, Yorktown VA is in charge of arrangements.
