Gloria Kaye Robertson


Yorktown – Gloria “Kaye” Robertson, 82, of Yorktown passed away Monday, July 8, 2024 at home with family and friends.
Kaye grew up in Seaford and later resided in the Edgehill Subdivision. She was a longtime member of Zion United Methodist Church, a 1960 graduate of York High School, and worked for the government at Fort Eustis before becoming a fulltime mother, which was her greatest love.
At home, Kaye was a loving wife, dedicated mom, and adoring Nana that always put others ahead of herself. Everyone was always welcome in her home, and her life revolved around family and friends. One of her greatest joys was organizing gatherings and making them special for all, especially during the Thanksgiving and Christmas seasons which she loved so much. Her kind words, willingness to listen, love and patience will be missed forever. Kaye was cherished by all and will be never be forgotten.
Kaye was preceded in death by her husband Wallace J. Robertson, daughter Tamara K. Pack (Joe), parents Charles and Estelle Burcher, and loyal companion “Ralston Rudy.” She is survived by her son Wallace R. Robertson (Teura), daughter Alicia G. Sullivan (Sully), grandson Joseph Richard Pack Jr. (Brittany); Grandchildren Aiden, Ethan, Shea & Bruin Sullivan, Christopher and Michael Robertson; Great grandson Henry Pack; Sisters Patty Thurlow, Betty Fox, Nancy Graves; Very special neighbors Michelle, Jeff & Irma, Vince & Cheryl; Friends Deborah and Tracy who assisted her daily later in life, and many others.
Funeral services will be held on Friday July 12th 2024 at Zion Methodist Church in Seaford, Virginia. The family will receive friends from 1-2 pm, immediately followed by a service and burial services at the church cemetery. A reception will follow in the church hall. Arrangements are being handled by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton.
