Gaylen Merle Allen

Yorktown, Virginia – Gaylen Merle Allen, 82, passed away on Thursday September 26, 2024.
Gaylen was a native of Evansville, Indiana and a peninsula resident since 1979. He was an Air Force Veterans retiring in 1984 after 23 years of service. He was an avid bowler and enjoyed bird watching and gardening
He is survived by his wife of 60 years Peggy Blackburn Allen and his sons, Rex Allen (Heather) of Williamsburg and Matthew Allen (Jennifer) of Yorktown grandchildren, Sarah and Kaelan as well as his brothers, Joe Allen and Kenny Allen. He was preceded in death by his brothers, Wesley, Eddie, Gerald, Don, Charles, and his sister Wilma.
Service will be private. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.
