Frances Mills Edmondson

Frances Mills Edmondson 98, passed away on October 4, 2025.Frances was a native of Seaford, Virginia and was a lifelong member of Zion United Methodist Church.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 70 years, Meredith “Eddie” Edmondson and a son, Stanley Mark Edmondson. She is survived by her sons, Rodney Mills Edmondson (Judy), Brian Eugene Edmondson (Wendy), daughter, Amy Edmondson Greenwood (Jim), daughter-in-law, Jan Simmons Edmondson, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Frances was well known for her wonderful cooking skills, especially her seafood dishes, hosting many family get-togethers. She enjoyed traveling all over the country with Eddie. She loved volunteering with the Bazaar Ladies at Zion, helping make numerous quilts and baking fruitcakes for the annual church bazaar. She worked many years as a bookkeeper.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, October 8, 2025, at Zion United Methodist Church with Rev. David Magruder officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery followed by a reception in the church social hall. The family will receive friends at the church one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Zion United Methodist Church (cemetery fund), 2109 Seaford Rd., Seaford, VA 23696. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, Virginia.
