F. Dolan Clontz
Yorktown, Va. – F. Dolan Clontz, 89, passed away on Saturday, February 19, 2022. Dolan was born in Burke County, in Western North Carolina to Fred and Rhesa Whisenant Clontz. He moved to the peninsula in 1942 and a resident of York County since 1970.
He was a graduated of Hampton High School Class of 1951, with an Industrial Electricity Certificate. Served his country honorable as a member of the 82nd Airborne Division from 1952 to 1955 and is a life member of the 82nd Airborne Division Association. He graduated from the NACA Apprentice School as an Electrician and retired in 1988 from NASA as an Electrical Supervisor with 37 years combined federal service. He worked as an electrician Contractor for over 40 years.
Dolan loved country music and playing the guitar at family get togethers and at retirement party’s. He also loved to deer hunt in Northern Neck.
He is survived by his Loving wife of 65 years Betty Mchan Clontz and his daughters, Diana Gail Smith and Jeanne Marie Jones Robbins and her husband Corbin Lee Robbins and a grandson Jeremiah Dolan Jones. He was preceded in death by his son Gary Leslie Clontz.
The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6-8 PM in Amory Funeral Home. The service will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM in Amory Funeral Home with burial to follow in Parklawn Memorial Park. Arrangements by Amory Funeral
