Edward Wilhelm Jahn


Edward Wilhelm Jahn was called home unexpectedly on Friday, March 6, 2026. He was preceded in death by his parents Hartmut Jahn and Marie Ford. He is survived by his loving wife Ruth, his daughter Ashley Jahn and four step daughters Kathryn Harris, Claire Harris, Rebecca Harris, and Emily Harris, his step father Pop (Billy Ford), a brother Rob Jahn (Jane), a sister Theresa Roberts (Archie), and a half sister Jennifer Jahn. He is also survived by a host of beloved cousins, nieces, and nephews.
Ed enjoyed spending time with his wife and family doing the things he loved the most such as going to Busch Gardens, visiting one of his favorite places, Cape Charles, and spending many weekends at the ballfield watching Faith play softball. He was an avid Las Vegas Raiders fan and was always seen with Raiders gear. Ed was always keeping in contact with family and friends and was one of those people you could always count on to help you.
A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2026 at Grace Episcopal Church Hall, 111 Church St, Yorktown, VA 23690 at 11:00 a.m. To honor Ed’s love for the Las Vegas Raiders, the family kindly asks that you wear your favorite team jersey, shirt, or team colors to the service. In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made to Sanctuary Rescue on their website at sanctuaryrescue.com or by sending a check to 15552 WC Commons Way, Midlothian, VA 23113.
