Donald Wyatt Dalton

Donald Wyatt Dalton, 51, of Newport News, VA, was called home too soon on Friday, May 15, 2026.
We take comfort in knowing that he is reunited with his mother, Norma, with whom he shared a deep and loving bond.

Donald is survived by his father, Carl Dalton; his sister, Tiffanie Clinkinbeard; his two nephews, Alex and Anthony; as well as numerous cousins.

Donald valued relationships and built them with ease. During his time in Newport News, he joined various Meetup groups and found connection in many communities. His interest in energy work aligned with his certification in Reiki healing. He enjoyed exploring alternative spirituality, befriended a Dungeons & Dragons group despite never officially joining, and became part of a homebrew group even though he never brewed beer himself.

Music was one of Donald’s greatest passions. He loved playing the guitar, singing, and spending hours mixing his music on the computer. Weird Al Yankovic’s songs always seemed to hit just right for him. Donald was also a whiz at pop culture and will be deeply missed at his groups’ trivia nights.

A memorial service will be held on May 23, 2026, at 12:00 noon (EDT) at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, located at 902 Denbigh Blvd., Newport News, VA 23608.

Family and friends are invited to mingle and share memories following the service at a location within the building to be announced.
