David Miller Landgraf

David finally found peace with the Lord at 3 a.m. on December 10, 2021, after a long painful struggle with cancer. He came to Yorktown in 2007 to live with his parents, Liz and Jerry, in Yorktown. He loved the view of the York River from their patio. David was born in St. Louis in 1957 and grew up in the suburb of Kirkwood. He made life-long friends at Kirkwood High School. One special friend, Jim Howe, he has known since Kindergarten. He graduated from University of Missouri with a degree in Fine Arts and spent most of his career as a graphic artist in advertising. He was a talented musician and loved playing Blue Grass music on his mandolin.
He was preceded in death by both sets of his grandparents and his younger brother, Jonathan. his aunt, Eleanor Rosburg and his uncle, Stanley Landgraf. He is survived by his parents, his brother Mark, his children, Andrew Landgraf, Allison Landgraf, and Amy Boike (Nate) and his former wife, Krista Turner Landgraf, a special cousin, Jane Kane, cousins, nieces and nephews, and his big white cat, Monkey Boy.
The family is extremely grateful to the hospice staff who took such good care of him and his parents, especially Janice and Tony. And they could not survive this loss without God’s support through their friends and Rector at Grace Church.
The funeral service will be on Sunday, December 19 at 10:15 in the Parish Hall at Grace Episcopal Church in Yorktown.
