Dalton A. McLawhorn

Seaford, Va. – Dalton A. McLawhorn, 95, passed away on Wednesday March 5, 2025. Dalton was a native of Greenville, North Carolina and Virginia resident since 1937. He retired from the Naval Weapon Station in 1985.
He is survived by his loving and devoted wife of 72 years Frances Hogge McLawhorn, his sons, Barry Dean McLawhorn (Piper) and Wade Lee McLawhorn (Fiancée Anita), a sister, Annice Louise Crist and grandsons, Justin, Matthew and Tyler (Megan) great grandson Ethan and step great granddaughters, Ivory and Irelynn.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at 2:00 PM in Amory Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery, Seaford, Va. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
