Cynthia “Cindy” Rose White


Cynthia “Cindy” Rose White of Seaford, Virginia passed away peacefully in her home January 29, 2021, at the young age of 55 after her battle with cancer.
Born in San Antonio, Texas, she grew up in North Little Rock, Arkansas where she met Alford “Alf” M. White, III. They married in 1992 after knowing each other for just 3 months, they spent 28 loving years together. They moved to Virginia in 2004 when Alf was transferred to Langley AFB, she supported him for 16 of his 21 years serving in the United States Air Force.
Many had the pleasure of seeing Cindy’s smiling face in the main office at Yorktown Middle School. She worked for the York County School Division for 16 years. She loved animals, shopping, reading a good book, making apple pies for the holidays, and watching her favorite college football team, the Arkansas Razorbacks. Go Hogs!!!
Cindy is survived by her husband, Alf White; daughter, Brittney “Kira” Rose White; daughter and son-in-law, Meghan and Jodey Burney; grandchildren, Jace and Josey Burney; mother, Rose Taylor; brother, Kenny Taylor; and nephew, James Taylor. She is preceded in death by nieces, Jessica and Jamie; and brother, James Taylor.
The family will accept visitors between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday, February 6th, 2021 at the family residence. We would appreciate you recognizing the necessity to wear a face mask if you plan on visiting.
In lieu of flowers please do something meaningful and sustainable to honor Cindy’s many passions such adopting a rescue animal (everyone know she LOVED her sweet kitty’s), making a donation to the American Cancer Society, the Peninsula SPCA, Animal Aid Society, the Humane Society; or planting a tree or flowers in her honor ~ the tulip poplar was her favorite tree, tulips and daffodils were her favorite flowers.
