Christopher (Chris) John Parks

Yorktown, Va. – Christopher (Chris) John Parks, 40, passed away on Wednesday, March 19, 2025. Chris was a native and lifelong peninsula resident and graduate of Grafton High School.
Chris is survived by his mother Cindy M. Norge and her husband Mike, sister, Heather Day, and brother, Glenn David Parks Jr., (Yvonne). He is also survived by his grandfather John P. McPherson, grandmother Mary Ann Norge, aunt Teresa McPherson-Marguard (Jeff), aunt Theresa Gibbs, aunt Cheryl Parks (Jimbo), uncle Wayne Parks, stepmother, Jennifer Parks, stepbrothers, Ben Woods, Bobby Norge and Michael Norge Jr.(Staci) and stepsister Marianne Devlin (James), nieces, Skyler Parks, Mackenzie Guy, Madison Norge, Jaida Norge, Madeleine Devlin, and BellaRose Lambert, and Nephews Cole Parks, Jacob Norge, Christian Devlin, Avery Devlin, and James Lambert, cousin Shanda, and extended family Patricia & Jarrett Lambert.

Christopher was preceded in death by his father Glenn David Parks Sr., grandmothers Jean E. McPherson and Betty Parks, and grandfather Wayman Parks.

 

Chris enjoyed traveling, especially to Ocean City, Maryland, and spending time with family and friends.  He had a particular love of Christmas festivities and gatherings.  He loved spreading the Word of God to everyone and leading people to Christ. He had a huge heart and loved everyone, sharing a smile and laughter with all he met. Chris found a passion for doing electrical work when he was in high school up until the present along with construction work. He also loved to sing, draw, write poems, and read Christian books. Chris loved the Dallas Cowboys. Chris is going to be missed by so many people who he loved and that loved him.

 

A funeral service will be held at 1:30 pm at Northside Christian Church on Saturday, March 29, 2025. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment to follow at the grave site at Peninsula Memorial Park. The family invites you to return to the church afterward to fellowship with the family.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in honor of Christopher John Parks be made to Northside Christian Church, 1300 George Washington Memorial Hwy., Yorktown VA  23693, “Celebrate Recovery”. Arrangements by Amory Funeral Home, Grafton, VA.
