Christopher “Chris” Charles Robins

Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.
Romans 5:3-4
It is with immeasurable sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Christopher “Chris” Charles Robins, age 37 years young, on February 3, 2026. Born on April 24, 1988 on Long Island, New York to proud parents Arthur Barrett Robins, Jr. and Shirley Hickman Robins.
Over his short lifetime Chris had moved and relocated several times from New York to the Eastern Shore of Virginia, Newport News (Hampton Roads) and the Richmond area.
Chris made countless friends along his journey. He will forever be remembered for his mischievous smile, silly antics, faithful friendships, unwavering support of his family friends and strangers alike, dedicated and determined work ethic, and his love and loyalty as a selfless and devoted son, brother, and uncle.
Chris was genuine and raw, a true example of resilient and perseverant. He was always willing to lend an unprejudiced listening ear, but could also be a passionately opinionated, fearless protector of those he held dear to him. Chris is now at peace in the hands of our Lord and has been joined together with his loved ones that have preceded him in death. To include his parents, Arthur Barrett Robins, Jr. and Shirley Hickman Robins, sister Julia Rosheger, aunt Marylee Charnock, uncle Frank Germano, cousins Anthony Daryl Campbell and Andrew ‘Drew’ Tyler Campbell, and childhood best friend Dustin Williams.
He is survived by his heart broken sister, Lindsey Jo (Robins) Johnson and brother Andrew R. Finney, sister-in-law Gisela ‘Judy’ Finney, nephews Justin and Joshua Finney, Gavin and Kyle Junk and Mahkai Tyler Holmes, nieces Ashley and Kaitin Vogt, Dahlia Jean Quiles and Cynarra Jean Johnson, aunts Joanne Campbell, Jeanette Russell and Arlene Germano, several great nieces and nephews, numerous cousins, extended family and a multitude of friends and associates.
Chris’s life and legacy will be celebrated and remembered on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 5:00-7:00pm at the Faith Baptist Church in Hampton, Virginia with Pastor Larry Ronan as officiant. There will be a private family graveside burial and remembrance on his birthday in April at their family cemetery on the eastern shore of Virginia.
He will be missed beyond comprehension. The family welcomes all to join them in honoring his life and memory during the celebration of life memorial service. The family requests that donations be made to the gofundme, set up to assist during this time, https://gofund.me/9bb6cfac8
