Christina Rae Krouse

Christina Rae Krouse, 43, passed away on Tuesday April 9, 2024.  Christina was a native of Newport News, and a former resident of Ashville, North Carolina where she graduated from Enka High School.  She attended UNC Ashville and returned to Newport News and graduated from the Newport News Shipbuilding Apprentice School in 2009 and continued to work for the shipyard in the planning department until her death. She enjoyed Kayaking on the Hampton River, Art, such as painting, diamond art, puzzle, and ceramics, loved to walk the trail at Newport News Park and enjoyed the fall festival. She enjoyed Disney, Goofy, the Washington Redskins, she had a spontaneous wit, she could make anyone laugh. She loved her home and the view of the river out her back door. She is survived by her mother Phyllis Hoffman and her husband Robb and her father Glenn Hicks and his wife Teena a grandmother Vicky Hicks, a daughter Sierra Hicks and her siblings, Nathan Hicks and his wife Rachel and their son Henry and special aunt Crystal Hicks. Also left to cherish her memory her special friend John Osborne. A service to celebrate the life of Christina will be held on Sunday, April 21, 2024 at 1:00 pm in Amory Funeral Home Chapel.
