Charles “Lee” Duff
Charles “Lee” Duff, 52 of Yorktown, Virginia, passed away on August 17, 2024 at Virginia Commonwealth University Medical Center.
Lee was born on February 27, 1972 to Charles “Mac” and Glenna Jo Duff in Yorktown, Virginia. After Lee graduated from York High School, he went on to study History at Christopher Newport University.
After graduating he held a position at Colonial Williamsburg as a reenactor. Most recently he held a position as a cashier at Busch Gardens Williamsburg where he was happiest surrounded by the history of the area and his fellow co-workers.
Lee was predeceased by his mother, Glenna Jo Cofer Duff, his grandparents, The Honorable Wesley Cofer and Mary Jane Cofer, and The Honorable Charles H. Duff and Jean Duff. He is survived by his beloved father, Charles “Mac” Duff and his stepmother, Holly F. Duff of Gloucester, Virginia, his beloved sister, Dr. Mary Cristen Duff Hendricks and her husband, Dr. Bradley Hendricks of Gloucester, Virginia, his niece and nephew, Olivia Quinn and Wesley Clayton Hendricks and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
A graveside service will be held at Grace Episcopal Church on Friday, August 23, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. with a reception at the parish hall following.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Gloucester Mathews Humane Society and your local humane society, an organization that Lee felt strongly about.
