Carolyn Turlington Green

Carolyn Turlington Green, beloved mother and nana, of Seaford, VA, died on February 5, 2023. Carolyn was born on January 7, 1941 to Robert and Christine Turlington in Newport News. She was raised in Hilton, a livelong Peninsula resident, and spent the last 20 years of her life in Seaford. Along with her parents, Carolyn was preceded in death by her sister, Jean Hull Spaulding. She is survived by her children: Laura C. Green of Fredericksburg, Monica Green Ross-Clunis (Hayden) of Seaford, and Michael E. Green of Gloucester; grandchildren: Alexandra L. Schrum of Richmond, Kristina G. Opaitz (Austin) of Hahira GA, Parker G. Schrum of Richmond, and Matthew Green of Gloucester; great-grandchildren: Elizabeth Opaitz and Michael Opaitz from GA. Additionally, she is survived by her steadfast companions: Annie, her Siamese cat, and Bobby McGee, her Shihpoo. At her request, there will be no memorial service. Carolyn was an avid animal lover and adopted many throughout her lifetime. In her memory, please consider supporting your local animal shelter by donation, volunteer, foster, or better yet, adoption.
