Carol Smoot Clack


Yorktown, Va. – Carol Clack was born to Lloyd Smoot and Fay Robinson Smoot on September 10, 1948. She would graduate from Hillcrest High School and receive a bachelors from Baylor and a masters from the University of Utah. She was a teacher and city worker.
In 1973 she would marry the love of her life Billy Sanford Clack. They would travel the world together as a military couple until the birth of their twin sons Christopher and Kevin Clack. From there Carol became a full time homemaker. Known for her quick wit she always had a funny comment or observation at the ready. Her loving nature and kindness was felt by anyone who sought her wisdom. She was a talented watercolorist with a number of paintings of the family as well as sketches for her children.
She loved foreign travel and would travel the world both in the military and afterward. She will be missed by all who knew her. She is survived by her husband Billy Clack, her sons Christopher and Kevin, and sisters Sally, Barbara and Susan. and nephews Ryan Black and Rob Kelton and nieces Alice Burke, Lauren Black. Service will be private.
Interment will be Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.
