Carol Haas Satterwhite

YORKTOWN, Carol Haas Satterwhite, age 84, died June 22, 2022. She was predeceased by husbands William H. Satterwhite, William E. Loviner, and N. Edward Fenton, Jr. and her sister, Mary Lee Thompson. She was born in Richmond, VA on April 6, 1938, to Lawrence and Edith Haas. She is survived by her daughters, Captain April F. Heinze (USN, Ret.) (Valerie) of Coronado, CA, Norma C. Fenton (Steve), and Mona F. Reichle (Donald J., Jr.) two grandsons, Donald J. III (Trey) and Fenton E. Reichle, all of Yorktown.
She was an active member of Seaford Christian Church and had served as a Sunday School teacher, choir member, and secretary of the Building and Grounds Committee and Ladies Group. She was retired from NASA Langley Research Center and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, doing sewing and all kinds of needlework as well as gardening.
There will be a memorial service at Seaford Christian Church at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 30, 2022, by Chris Cuthbertson, pastor. Visitation will be from 5-7 PM on Wednesday, June 29, 2022 at Amory Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Seaford Christian Church, P.O. Box 276, Seaford, VA 23696.
