Brian Michael Gingras

Yorktown, VA – Brian Michael Gingras, 46, died suddenly and unexpectedly at home on August 19, 2026.
Brian was born into an Air Force family on October 23, 1979, in San Antonio, Texas. During his early years, he lived in San Antonio, North Dakota, and England before his family’s final military assignment brought them to Virginia. Always active and adventurous, Brian loved riding his bike, playing lacrosse and other sports, and spending time outdoors.
An early fascination with stones and crystals grew into a lifelong interest in gems and jewelry. Brian pursued specialized training at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA) in Carlsbad, California, where he earned the designations of Graduate Gemologist and Applied Jewelry Artist. Following his graduation from GIA, he used his knowledge, creativity and skill to create many beautiful and distinctive jewelry designs.
Brian had countless friends across the country and around the world. He will be remembered for his kindness, intelligence, quick wit, and generous heart. He felt things deeply and was always ready to help someone in need. His warmth, humor, and caring nature touched many lives, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. Brian is survived by his loving parents, Terry and Sharon Gingras of Yorktown, Virginia; his sister, Erin Gingras Garcia with her daughters Emily and Amy of Manassas, Virginia; his brother, Nathan Gingras with his son Temple and daughter Elizabeth of Richmond, Virginia; and several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members.
A celebration of Brian’s life will be held at 7p.m on September 4, 2026 at Amory Funeral Home in Yorktown, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to honor Brian’s memory are encouraged to make a donation to an animal rescue or environmental conservation organization of their choice.
