Bonnie Sue Ramey

Newport News, VA. – Bonnie Sue Ramey (54) passed away on Sunday, January 18th, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born March 5th, 1971 in Newport News, Virginia to Frances Van Dyke Boyd Gardner and the late Robert Boyd. From the start, Bonnie was compassionate and a ray of light. She was always on the move, whether it was to visit local landmarks or to start her newest passion project. Creativity flowed through her, often expressing herself through poetry, drawing and upcycling. Throughout her life, Bonnie followed her heart and ambition into multiple career paths. She completed her apprenticeship at Newport News Shipbuilding becoming a Mold Loftman. Afterwards, she moved on to managing multiple properties in Portsmouth, Virginia. She also held retail positions in between and put her entrepreneurial spirit to work on a handful of side projects. Above all else, she took on the irreplaceable role of a beloved mother. Bonnie was survived by; her mother, Frances Gardner; her brothers, Mark, Jay and Timothy (Tim) Boyd; her three sons, Brent Worley, Donovan Brown and Lucas Ramey; her daughter, Brooke Ramey; her four granddaughters, MaKaela, Serena, Aymara and Dawsyn; as well as many more cherished family members and close friends. A celebration of life will be held for Bonnie at Amory Funeral Home in Yorktown, Virginia on Tuesday, January 27th, 2026 at 6pm. All of those who wish to attend are welcome with open arms.
