Bobbie Jean Spencer


May 19, 2023, Bobbie Jean Spencer, 78, of Newport News, VA, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her entire family.
Bobbie married her husband of 58 years Eddy Spencer, Sr. on April 1, 1965. She always joked that since it was April Fool’s Day, she kept waiting for someone to yell April Fools. During their 58 years of marriage, she was the perfect military wife, standing by her husband and raising a family through his two tours in Vietnam and the many deployments and moves that come with the military life. Bobbie, one of four children was born on June 2, 1944, to James Casner and Hallie Louise in Enterprise Alabama.
She is survived by her spouse Eddy Wallace Spencer, Sr. whom she loved unconditionally. Her children that she dedicated her life to Tanya Barrow, Wallace Spencer, Jr. and wife Joann, and Wayne Spencer. Her Grandchildren that she adored and who made her life brighter every day; CJ Barrow, Sr and wife Amy, Faith Romanyk and husband Nick, Rebecca Harris and husband Brandon, Morgan Barrow, Douglas Bates, Alexus Spencer, Ean Spencer, and Hallie Bates. Her life was completed by the arrival of her great grandchildren; Shelby Resner, Carl Barrow, Jr, Alyssa Barrow, Nicholas Romanyk II, Stephen Romanyk, Staley Barrow, Michael Barrow, Remington Harris, Ashton Harris and her brother Frank Boullt and family.
She was preceded in death by her Father James Casner, Stepfather Raymond Boullt, Mother and Stepfather Hallie Louise and Jesse Castle, brothers James Boullt and Charles Castle, daughter Trynda Lee Bates and grandson Everett Spencer.
A funeral service will be held at 4:00 PM on Saturday May 27, 2023 in Amory Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends following the service at the residence.
