Beverlye Redmon Earley
Beverlye Redmon Earley of York County, VA passed away on April 5, 2024. Beverlye was born to George Linvell Redmon, Jr. and Pauline E. Porterfield on 10-29-1938 in Princeton West Virginia. She moved to Hampton, VA in 1940 when her father became employed as an aerospace engineer with NACA-at Langley Air Force Base Hampton, VA.
Beverlye was very active in high school sports and choir and loved all water sports. Beverlye graduated from Warwick High School in the class of 1956, which is where she met her future husband Doug Earley. Beverlye attended Longwood University, and was very active in sports and synchronized water sports. Beverlye received an associate degree while attending Longwood University. After college she was employed at Fort Eustis as the secretary to the civilian personnel director. She married Douglas Earley in November 1960. Together they had 3 children. Kimberly, Kevin and Kenneth. Beverlye was secretary to the civilian personnel officer for Ft. Eustis, VA. After the birth of their second child (Kevin) Beverlye stopped working and devoted all of her time being a mother of three children all under the age of five. Beverlye was a specially gifted bowler and loved bowling. She was a Virginia State Bowling champion in 1969. However, she felt her greatest accomplishments in life were her three children. Seeing all three of them grown and successful brought her great pride and joy.
Beverlye was predeceased by her father George L. Redmon, mother Pauline Porterfield Redmon and brother George L. Redmon Jr. She is survived by her husband, Douglas Earley, daughter Kimberly D. Hunter (Thomas) of York County,Va., son Kevin D. Earley (Monique) of Seaford,Va., son Kenneth D. Earley (Kara) of Poquoson, Va. She is survived by four grandchildren: one grandson Chase Hunter, three granddaughters Cassidy Earley, Kendal Earley, and Nicolette Dierberger, as well as one great granddaughter Sophia Dierberger.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at NOON PM in Amory Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
