Barbara A. Branum

Barbara A. Branum, 81, of East Ridge Tennessee passed away Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in Yorktown, Virginia. She was the daughter of the late Melvin and Corrine Akins.
Mrs. Branum, a graduate of Carson Newman College, taught for several years.
She was predeceased by her husband Fred of 59 years. She is survived by her son Jeff Branum (Carmen) of Lexington, South Carolina; her daughter of Kim Brandon (Tim) of Yorktown, Virginia; sister Jeannette A. Walker(Jack) of California, Brother Larry Akins of Tennessee; Grandchildren Madison Branum; Katie and Josh Brandon, Chris and Brad Kuebler.
Mrs. Branum was predeceased by her beloved daughter Teresa Annette Baggett.
Burial will take place June 29th at Lakewood Memory Gardens West Cemetery in Chattanooga, Tennessee.
The family wishes to extend deep gratitude to Bob Brazier and Jennifer Blalock as well as her caregivers, Melissa and Ieshia for their acts of kindness, loving attention, and generosity over the years.
